1). i). Red lettuce features leaves tinted with deep burgundy, purple or reddish-brown, especially at the ruffled edges
ii). Green lettuce displays a vibrant light-to-medium green hue across the entire loose leaf
2). i). Red lettuce is richer in anthocyanins, a powerful antioxidant pigment that fights inflammation and gives the plant its dark colour
ii). Green lettuce is slightly higher in overall core vitamins and minerals like Vitamin A and Vitamin K
3). i). Red lettuce has more delicate soft leaves that bruise or wilt slightly fasterii). Green lettuce tends to have a slightly firmer exterior with a crunchier and a marginally longer shelf life
4). i). Both red and green lettuce taste mild, sweet and nutty with a refreshing faint earthiness though the former can have a subtle bitterness at the coloured tips
5). Both red and green lettuce work well in salads, burgers and wraps.
